Weil ich es satt habe, dass “ScriptKiddies” meine Webprojekte mit ihren Attacken belästigen, habe ich inzwischen auch sämtliche IP Adressen aus China und Korea gesperrt. Sorry, nix persönlich gegen Chinesen und Koreaner - da kommt aber für mich kein sinnvoller Traffic her also kann ich die Länder auch komplett sperren und mir den Ärger sparen.

Hier mal wieder ein Update aller Server denen ich den Zugang zu meinen Servern via iptables verwehre. Auf die Liste kommt jeder Rechner der entweder ssh Angriffe sendet, oder über Myriaden von GETs versucht bekannt Schwachstellen von z.B. Wordpress, phpMyAdmin etc. auszunutzen.
Leider wird die Liste immer länger, und leider sind ein paar Call-in IPs dabei …

Ich hab mir endlich eine SSD gekauft, und zwar einen LaCie Fastkey Stick mit 60 GB. Blöd nun, das LaCies Einrichtungsassistent unter Windows nur eine “Transferpartition” für Linux mit max. 32 GB und vfat16 einrichtet. Ich will keine zwei Partitionen und ich will alles unter Windows und Linux verwenden.
Also muss ich den SSD Stick neu formatieren.

Es gibt ja leider einen Haufen Deppen die nichts anderes zu tun haben, als mich mit ihren Internet-Angriffen zu nerven. Zum Glück habe ich iptables und so kommen die alle Schnurr-Stracks auf meine IP-Blacklist. Letztens wurde eines meiner Webprojekte massiv von 213.154.93.169 attackiert. Die Serverload ging bis auf 10, alle Sockets waren in TIME_WAIT und der Speicher war auf Anschlag. Super! Blöder Sehwachkopf.
Das Mittel der Wahl: Gleich mit Kanonen auf Idioten schießen:
iptables -I INPUT -s 213.154.93.169 -j DROP
Dann trifft der Arsch nur noch ins Leere und verschwendet seinen eigenen Strom.
Ich bin inzwischen von SuSE auf Ubuntu umgestiegen und nun dabei meinen ganzen Entwicklungskram zu installieren. Jetzt ist VMware Server dran. VMware Server brauche ich leider um meine Webentwicklungen unter den diversen miesen Microsoft Browsern zu testen.
Also nun zur Installation:
VMware-server-2.0.1-156745 runterladen
Freundlicherweise ist VMware ja umsonst. Den Download gibt es nach Beantwortung einiger Fragen hier. Ich lade das tar.gz runter weil Ubuntu rpm ja nicht gerade gerne hat.
Dann holen wir die kernel Header, den xinted das das Notwendige zum Compilieren:

Dann das VMWare tgz auspacken:
rainer@laptop:$ tar xvzf VMware-server-2.0.1-156745.i386.tar.gz
und den Installer aufrufen:

Jetzt werden einige Fragen gestellt. Man sollte das prüfen, bei mir waren die Defaultantworten aber durchgängig korrekt. Also mit lauter Returns durch. Dann werden die Module compiliert. Bis vsock läuft es gut, dann gibt es ein paar Warnungen:

Das kann man aber erstmal ignorieren. Bei den Netzen wähle ich “Bridged”, kein NAT und kein “host only”. Später muss man dann mal den Licence Key eingeben - der muss im Netz bei VMware.com abgeholt werden.
Irgendwann wird man nach dem admin gefragt. Hier sollte man den genutzten Benutzer angeben da root in Ubuntu ja nicht recht existiert. Ich gebe also “rainer” an. Weiter geht’s recht flüssig und am Ende melde ich mich via http://localhost:8222 bei meiner Server Konsole an!

Ich habe an einer neuen Drupal 6 Plattform mitgearbeitet die seit heute in der Beta-Phase, d.h. öffentlich, ist. Isartal.info ist eine “local collaboration plattform” nach web2.0 Schema (hehe).
Entwickelt ist das Ganze in Drupal 6.x / PHP 5.x / MySQL 5.x und läuft auf Apache 2. Würde mich freuen, wenn Ihr mal draufschaut!
Wikipedia ist nicht mehr offen. Wikipedia ist zum Tollplatz geworden für Klugscheisser die sonst nichts zu tun haben. Damit geht Wikipedia den selben Weg wie schon DMOZ - bergab.
Als lustige kleine Revolution gestartet ist Wikipedia inzwischen recht verkommen und ich schätze mal, dass auch Google und Co. demnächst die Boni löschen. Dann versinken die traurigen Protagonisten wieder im Nichts
